Our Excellent Learning Coaches

Alison Parrott

Hello, my name is Alison Parrott, and I have been a certified public school teacher since 2006. I am excited to help families start a new endeavor in education, where homeschool and private school meet. I have a Master’s Degree in Education, and I hold state teaching certifications in Idaho and California. My passion is collaborating with families to create the best learning environment possible for their students.

I was born and raised in Northern California. I took a 7-year detour in sales before having a traumatic boat accident that motivated me to follow my dream of joining the rewarding field of education. I am so glad that I followed my dream! I earned a Bachelor's degree in Communications from California State University in Sacramento in 2003 and a Master's degree in Education from the University of Phoenix in 2005. I hold K-8 multiple-subject teaching credentials in Idaho and California. I am so grateful for my decision to relocate my family to the great state of Idaho in 2015! We love it here!

I have been married for over 16 years and am a proud mother of a teenaged daughter and an elementary-aged son. I enjoy learning and teaching, serving Jesus and others, spending time with my family and pets, reading non-fiction, attending musical theater, playing and teaching piano, and coaching a FIRST Lego League robotics team.

I am highly experienced helping middle school math students and teaching ESL, and I love teaching all students about all subjects! I also enjoy creating enrichment classes, like coding and robotics, American sign language, ethnic cooking, archery, piano, theater, digital citizenship, financial literacy and social skills, such as conflict resolution and empathy. We will explore and develop your child’s unique interests to make him/her a life-long learner too! My passion is to motivate and edify youth to love God and love learning as much as I do.

Jacquetta Thayer

Hello, my name is Jacquetta Thayer. I grew up in the rural landscapes of Idaho and proudly earned my high school diploma from Fruitland High School in 2005. My deepest passions revolve around faith, with a fervent devotion to Jesus, an unwavering commitment to supporting mothers, and a profound appreciation for the sanctity of the family unit. My journey into midwifery began with my enrollment at the Texas Midwifery Association, where I diligently studied from 2007 to 2011. In 2011, I proudly earned my licenses as a Licensed Midwife (LM) and a Certified Professional Midwife (CPM), achievements that have since defined my career. However, my path took an unexpected turn when I felt a higher calling to educate. In the spring of 2023, I heeded this calling and made the life-changing decision to withdraw my children from public school in the fall of the same year. God has entrusted me with an expanded mission—to not only serve as a midwife but also to provide invaluable support to homeschooling families, marking the next profound chapter in my journey."
